The Metaverse Group's purchase is more than double the previous record for land or property sales in the virtual world. Meta (formerly Facebook), followed by Microsoft and Nike's recent announcements to focus on Metaverse. This land is a computer-simulated space where people can play and interact as well as work as avatars, which they are going to do in the next version of Facebook.
And through this, Metaverse Group describes itself as "the world's first virtual real estate company" and emphasizes the importance of real estate companies in Metaverse.
Andrew Kiguel, CEO of Metaverse Group, said in a statement: "We are pleased to make history by acquiring the largest public Metaverse land to date. "These assets will complement the existing portfolio of Metaverse real estate already held by the Metaverse Group."
